MYTH:

“I can sell my home all by myself. All I need is a yard sign, to pass out some flyers to everyone I know, and advertise my home in the newspaper.”


REALITY

Interestingly enough, the vast majority (»93%) of homeowners attempting to sell by owner are not successful! 

  ·    A cheap, inexpensive yard sign sends the wrong message to a buyer.  It does not look good in your front yard, and does not set forth a very professional tone. 

  ·    Relying on flyers and drive-by traffic means you miss out on the other 99% of the active buyers in the market. 

  ·    Effectively advertising in the newspaper is very expensive, and not very successful!  Placing an ad in the weekend or Sunday only paper is not good enough.  Placing an ad in the newspaper every other weekend is not good enough either. 

 

One needs to advertise 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, non-stop until their home sells!
